Prairie Green subdivision is located at the Northeast corner of Route 76 and Woodstock Road in Poplar Grove. This comunity has just over 200 homes and was established in 2003. There are two home builders within Prairie Green with one being Winchester and the other Kennedy Homes. Winchester built on the Southern Edge of the subdivision, building approxamately 20 duplexes and around 50 single family homes. Kennedy built all single family homes within the subdivision. Almost every home within Prairie Green has a nice open floor plan and range from 2100 square feet all the way up to 3600 square feet. Prairie Green is within Belvidere Township, which means they have access to all of the ammenaties that Belvidere has to offer including the Park District, School District and Fire Protection. Police services are provided by Boone County as the Village of Poplar Grove has yet to have their own police force.
